Teaching Sociology |

| This section contains information of
promoting the understanding of sociology in the classroom as a
form of applied sociology or sociological practice. I start with what I call the
general social theory that is a core of sociology. Aron (1970,p 37) put
it this way, "They (social forces) emanate from the group and not from
the individuals taken separately. It may be said further
that individuals, together, give rise to phenomena or forces which can
be explained only when taken as a whole." We also recognize that this
parallels or is part of Darwin's theory on evolution and has quantum
aspects. In the discussions here we will use the term situation as a synonym for collective, environment, group and other social entities. Likewise shape, structure, and definition will be used as pretty much the same. |
